Long Range Hunting & Shooting
School — July 8-11, 2010
This school is designed to teach the principals
involved in long-range hunting. Students will learn how
to make ethical long-range shots on game animals. They
will learn to shoot extreme angles up and down, how to
calculate the wind and other environmental effects on
their bullet, and positional shooting techniques. Students
will shoot various game animal targets at ranges out
to 700 yards in realistic practical hunting situations.
The classroom is the beautiful mountains of Central Idaho.
Students will come away from this school with the knowledge
and confidence to make ethical decisions on shooting
game at extended distance. We guarantee you will have
fun, learn and enjoy your time in this class.
Advanced Shooting/Hunting School — August
12-15, 2010
After numerous requests from our past students
to take them even further, Mike has developed an advanced
school. This advanced
school is for those who have completed the basic Long
Range Shooting/Hunting School and have practiced the
techniques
involved in setting up
and taking extended distance shots. During this 3-day
school we will review some of the basics on the range
the first day. On
the second and third days we will put shooters in hunting
situations while hiking, spotting and stalking, and riding
horseback. The
student will be challenged to spot, range, select a firing
position, put proper information on their rifle and then
make the shot into
the kill zone on animal targets at various ranges. Students
will practice practical positional shooting as would
be encountered in a real hunting situation. Students
will be faced with
decisions
in scenario based hunting exercises that will test their
hunting skills. They will need to use their stalking
skills, read the
wind, use noise control, control their emotions and deal
with physical exertion. This class will be fun, challenging
and help
to bring students to a new level of confidence in their
hunting and shooting skills.
Tuition for all schools: $750 + tax. Includes school instruction,
rustic cabin lodging (bring your own bedding),
meals and fun.
